Day #11 - Blisters/Lesions On My Toes and Feet
You can obviously see the blister at the base of my big toe but if you look up closer to the big toe nail bed, you can see another smaller blister. These little blisters started popping up on and in between my toes.
Tuesday April 14th, 2020:
I woke up around 8AM feeling great. My brain still felt a little weird. And by weird, I’m referring to the brain fog. The brain fog that made my thoughts delayed, my responses delayed, and my brain floaty in my skull. A floaty feeling. Like I was floating when I was walking…
Around 10AM I had a really bad coughing attack that led me to gasping for air. I had my new medicine and asthma nebulizer treatment already set up in case of an attack. I did the Albuterol asthma nebulizer machine treatment that took about 20 minutes. It’s amazing how quickly it calmed down my lungs. The Albuterol nebulizer treatments made a huge difference with my lungs. I’m so thankful I had this machine and I believe it truly saved my lungs. Throughout this entire journey the inhaler and the nebulizer were factors in my recovery 100%!
Felt great mid afternoon.
Around 5pm I started feeling extra tired and had a headache. I took 600mg of Advil around 6pm. Within the hour I felt so shitty. We had ordered food from the Basement Bar and Restaurant that arrived around 7pm. I had zero appetite. I managed to eat but didn’t digest the food well…the digestion thing was really annoying by the way. No matter what I ate, my food would just sit in my stomach. Every meal since I started showing symptoms. I’ve never experienced that in my life.
I came to bed around 8pm not feeling good at all. I was able to perk up around 9pm for a short phone call with Darcy’s brother Pete and his wife Kate.
Now let’s talk about this rash on my toes/feet. This random “itchiness” occurred the night before and then was gone by the next morning so I didn’t think anything of it…but between Tuesday and the next 4 days a strange rash/blisters appeared on my toes and feet and then went away. I first noticed weird little lesion/patches on the sides of my toes. Then these tiny little chicken pox like red blisters starting popping up. It was the craziest thing. They didn’t always itch either….I sent photos to my doctor and even he couldn’t tell me what it was…
It’s not like they were “everywhere” on my feet. The little bumps were super sporadic in between my toes, on my toes, bottom of my feet, and on the side of my feet. I would itch them and try and pop them…(PS - I’ve never had a rash on my toes in my life)
The tops of my toes right under the nail bed and on the tip of my toes would itch like hell too…like the actual TIP TOP of my toes. That’s F****ING new.
I posted pictures to show the bumps/patches/lesions. I didnt get a rash anywhere else on my body….Seriously unbelievable.
I circled the dark spot at the base of toe nail bed because it was so itchy and had a darker spot on it. I also circled one of the 3-4 lesions on and in between my toes.
And NO they weren’t bug bites. I was in my bed, clean sheets, and under the covers for a majority of the first 14 days of being sick. They appeared on day 11 and were gone by day 15-16. I’m currently on day 25 and have zero lesions or blisters on my toes.
This was a lesion on the side of my big toe. Ive never seen this on my toes before…
Another lesion in between my toes. After 4-5 days it was gone.
Another lesion and this one itched so bad.
That damn little blister was soooooo itchy at times!
Another blister. This spot had 2-3 of those little blisters in a cluster.
This was a blister that appeared on the side of my foot. There were actually 3 little guys. There is reminisce of a lesion too.
Another blister.
I took this picture after I tried to pop it. Gross I know…but whatever.
